Computer literate in using QuickBooks, MS, Excel spreadsheet.
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, honest, reliable, and hardworking.
No work experience is required.
on promoting the Rule of Law, Justice and Democracy by supporting the development of appropriate institutions of justice, enhancing public knowledge of and encouraging participation in governance and the legal system, and advocating for good governance to achieve justice, peace and social harmony for all Cambodians.
The CLEC currently is seeking a qualified Cambodia national candidate to fill a position of Intern Accountant. As an intern accountant s/he will have:
1. Management of Petty cash funds: Directly hold petty cash funds:
a). Pay petty cash;
b). Do daily cash count of actual cash against the incoming and outgoing cash records and the cash available in the safe daily;
c). Do weekly cash count with and get endorsement for cash reconciliation;
d). Make weekly report of all petty cash expenditures from petty cash fund;
e). Prepare request for replenishing petty cash (to keep up to a maximum of US$ 500.00 in the safe).
2. Review requests, invoices, preparation of receipt and payments
a). Prepare and send invoice/official receipt to donors and clients and follow up;
b). Assist in reviewing and processing all request documents for authorization
c). Make payments (including reimbursements) for Petty Cash, check and transfer;
d) Prepare checks, payment vouchers for signatures.
3. Banking activities: In consultation with FO I FM, do banking activities, including:
a). Keep bank and check books;
b). Do disbursement/transfer of funds;
c). Making deposit (including cash incomes, staff liabilities etc.);
d). Ordering of new checkbooks;
e). Obtaining bank notices of transaction & monthly bank statements;
4. Computer Accounting and recording:
a). Enter all accounting transactions in the QuickBooks accounting systems
b). Keep pass codes to access computer and QuickBooks software confidentially.
a). Follow up and prepare a monthly settlement report of activity advances;
b). Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for each bank accounts;
c). Prepare Petty Cash replenishment and cash balance for each month;
d). Update and report the monthly staff benefits (bonus, provident fund, medical etc.);
6. Filling & documentation: In consultation with FO/FM:
a). Maintain filling systems and files all financial records, reports and supporting documents;
b). Review and pre-check monthly accounting documents in -the files to ensure that those documents are complete.
7. Coordinates work with administrative and program staff;
8. Follows the policies and regulations of the CLEC and its Donors;
9. Participates in regular meetings of the CLEC and when requested by supervisors.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned or requested by supervisors.
